Anti-Aging Benefits With Natural Results
As you age, the collagen in your skin declines which can affect your skin’s elasticity and result in signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin. By extracting nutrients from your own blood sample, Dr. Lopez can help your skin naturally regenerate itself without the use of synthetic fillers or invasive surgical therapies. There are two kinds of treatments she can perform:
- Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP): The plasma from your blood can provide a powerful burst of nutrients that can help your body regenerate rapidly
- Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF): The fibrin from your blood is a growth-factor-rich serum that can help your body regenerate over a longer period than plasma treatments (2)
Although both PRP and PRF are effective in improving signs of skin aging, they regenerate the skin in different ways. PRF contains fewer anticoagulants than PRP which can make it a better choice for those with sensitive skin or who are hypersensitive. (2) Whether you need a PRP or PRF treatment will depend on your aesthetic goals and medical history. Both PRP and PRF are nonsurgical forms of regenerative medicine that can help your body increase collagen production (neocollagenesis). This accelerates the healing process of your body and can help it recover from inflammation or signs of aging.
Skin Rejuvenation with PRP
Regenerative skin care treatments (biostimulation) can trigger collagen production to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and diminish signs of sun damage. The growth factors in the treatment can help your skin barrier repair itself. With PRP injections, we can help you diminish them for long-lasting results so you can enjoy:
- Fewer fine lines and wrinkles: The treatment can help you achieve smoother, more radiant skin. It can reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds and forehead lines for a smoother complexion.
- More radiant, hydrated skin: You can achieve a fresher-looking complexion because the treatment can help your skin produce new, healthy cells.
- Brighter eyes: The treatment can rejuvenate the delicate skin around your eyes to reduce dark under-eye bags to help you look more awake.
- Scar reduction: Collagen from the treatment can also reduce the appearance of scars for a more even skin texture. (3)
- Even skin tone: Since the treatments can improve your red blood cell count in addition to increasing collagen, you can achieve brighter skin and the collagen can reduce hyperpigmentation.
If you are in good overall health and do not have a condition that affects your blood, you are likely a good candidate for this treatment.

Hair Restoration with PRP
If you are struggling with thinning hair, PRP treatments can help you achieve fuller, thicker hair growth. By administering the treatment to your scalp, we can stimulate your hair follicles and push them into the active growth phase. Over time, you can enjoy your hair becoming thicker and fuller. This is especially helpful for patients who have a thinning hairline or bald spots that are affecting their self-esteem or perceived age. The natural solution to hair growth has helped many patients quickly achieve thicker hair without surgery, synthetics, or harsh chemicals.
The “O” Shot: PRP for Intimate Wellness
PRP treatments can also improve your intimate wellness. The O-Shot is an innovative treatment designed to enhance sexual function. PRP injections can increase sensitivity in intimate areas for more satisfying intimate relationships. During the treatment, Dr. Lopez can inject the treatment into the vaginal canal and clitoral area to improve:
- Sexual arousal
- Orgasm intensity
- Vaginal lubrication
- Urinary incontinence
The all-natural treatment can also improve your confidence and quality of life. Since it does not require incisions, surgery, or downtime, you can enjoy improvements without an extensive recovery.
Benefits of Skin Rejuvenation with PRP and PRF
PRP and PRF are natural, well-tolerated skin rejuvenation treatments that harness the power of your own blood. The treatments offer several benefits, including:
- No downtime: You can return to your normal routine immediately afterward and the treatment will renew your skin over time
- Quick, convenient injectable: If you lead a busy lifestyle, we can quickly rejuvenate your skin with an office appointment so you can achieve natural results without changing your schedule
- Synthetic-free therapy: You can rejuvenate your complexion without synthetics or having to worry about an unnatural reaction
- Targeted, customizable therapy: We can treat multiple areas during one appointment with only a simple blood draw
Candidates & Consultation
During your consultation, we will ask about your medical history and the medications you are currently taking. Since both PRF and PRP harness the power of your own blood, you can improve your well-being with fewer risks and minimal downtime than you could with surgical procedures. If you have sensitive skin, you will not need to worry about synthetics that could cause irritation. Suitable candidates for the treatment would like to:
- Reduce signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles
- Address sun-damaged skin
- Achieve a smoother skin texture
- Improve their skin tone
- Enhance their intimate wellness
- Achieve fuller, thicker hair
- Reduce under-eye circles and bags
- Address facial volume loss
Candidates will also need to be prepared to take good care of their skin and health to maintain their results. Please come prepared for your appointment with any questions you have about the treatment. If you have a risk of developing tumors, you may not be the best candidate for the treatment. If necessary, we can discuss alternatives to help you achieve results. To learn more about our additional procedures, see the blog.
Preparation
To prepare for your PRF treatment, you will need to take good care of your skin. Taking the following steps can help you experience the best outcome:
- Stay hydrated
- Stop taking blood thinners
- Eat nutritious meals to prevent breakouts
- Moisturize your skin
- Avoid chemical peels and tanning beds
- Stop using retinoids that could compromise your skin barrier
We can also provide specific instructions to help you improve your skin and prepare for your treatment based on your personalized treatment plan.
Treatment Process
We recommend that you arrive at the office on time, with clean skin and comfortable clothing. PRP and PRF treatments are a simple, three-step process:
- Blood draw: First we will draw a vial of blood
- PRP and PRF extraction: We will purify your blood in a centrifuge to extract the PRP or PRF solution
- Injection: We will use a thin needle to administer the formula beneath your skin in the treatment area
The time your treatment takes will depend on the number of areas you would like to treat. If you experience changes to your skin over time, you can return to the office for a touch-up appointment.
Recovery
After your treatment, you can return to your normal routine. You may have slight puffiness around the injection site. It is important that you protect your skin from the sun and use products for your skin type for the best results. We can provide specific recovery instructions based on the treatment area and whether you received PRP or PRF.
Results
After a PRF treatment, you can enjoy a plumper appearance, fewer scars, brighter skin, and a more even complexion. By increasing collagen levels, you can also enjoy more radiant skin and a more youthful glow. To maintain your results you will need to wear SPF and take good care of your skin with products for your skin type.

FAQ
Are PRF treatments safe?
Yes, PRF treatments are well-tolerated. We use the purest PRF centrifugation process to ensure the best results possible. Although you will see a significant difference after the first treatment, we will discuss your personal goals during your initial consultation to determine the number of treatments you need.
Will I need more than one PRF treatment?
This depends on the lifestyle factors that affect your skin. If you experience lifestyle changes or your collagen production decreases, you may need another treatment to revive your appearance.
How much blood will you need to draw?
The amount of blood we need to draw will depend on your treatment, but our team should only need a few vials. If you need to treat a large area, we will likely need to draw more blood. During your consultation with us, you can discuss your goals and the number of treatments you will need to accomplish your desired look.
Will PRF treatments require incisions? Are incisions made during exosome therapy?
No, PRF treatments do not require incisions. We use a thin needle or cannula to administer the treatment.
Are the results of PRF for skin rejuvenation permanent?
While PRF for skin rejuvenation can produce long-lasting results, you may experience changes to your skin as you age.
